I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, they arrived in time and in perfect condition, i planted them and they grew very well and healthy, made hundreds of mojitos with them (I am Cuban) took them to several parties wher there were many many people that enjoyed them, and gave cuts to family and friends (i bought 5 plants), i nbeglected them this past winter and they suffered lack of watering with the intense hot sun in Miami, did not die but don't look that good so i am placing a new order today for 6 plants and looking forward to enjoy many more Mojitos thanks to Colonial Creek Farms. Highly recommended.

Plants all died

I ordered three peppermint plants, ($22.00) and they all died with in a week. I very careful followed the instruction sheet for care and handling of these plants. They started dying the day I got them. I do not recommend this place. These arrived looking unhealthy, crammed into a small box wrapped in newspaper. I have contacted customer service for a refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Please read the other reviews of other unhappy customers before ordering from this place. I will never order from them again. Prices also seem very high for the size of plants that you get from them. Please see the photos below of the three plants I ordered. Very very disappointed with this company.

It was very hot (July) when these plants were shipped and they can be damaged in transit during such high temperatures. We issue refunds soon after we receive proof of defect (photos).

Please double check that the photos were sent to the correct address or contact us right away so that we may resolve this issue. - Colonial Creek Farm

Through Amazon.com I Ordered Ten Herb Plants- One each: Spearmint, Peppermint, Parsley, Chives, Thyme, Oregano, Rosemary, Sage, Tarragon, Lemon Balm from Colonial Creek Farm. Never received them. Company states that the Plants were sent to my physical location through USPS who would not deliver. Refused to resend to PO Box, use UPS or Fed Ex, or refund. Kept me engaged in a long e-mail chain. Snide and unprofessional responses to my e-mails and requests for resend or refund. After a complaint to Amazon, received an yet another e-mail that they would refund 1/2 my money. Would not recommend doing business with this company.

We tried very hard to work with this customer and did give her a 100% refund including the shipping cost. So the "kept my money" comment in the title is false.

We used the shipping address provided by Amazon, and even though the customer admitted that she gave us the wrong address, she still insisted we re-ship the entire order free of charge to a new address.

We don't usually have customers demand that we absorb the cost for their mistakes, so this did take us back a bit, but at no time were our comments snide or unprofessional and the dispute was resolved in the customers favor. - Colonial Creek Farm

Colonial Creek Plant Suppliers

I ordered catnip plants from this company, through eBay. In the past I have ordered catnip plants in the winter, through eBay. The supplier was excellent, and the plants very healthy. Unfortunately, they did not have any available at this time. I ordered plants from Colonialcreek. They arrived diseased, covered in the grey fungus you find on unhealthy plants. I have been gardening for decades, both flowers and vegetables. I usually grow my own catnip plants in the summer. It was obvious these were diseased plants, of a very poor quality. I did receive a refund from eBay, but had to ship the plants back at my own expense. I would caution anyone against buying from this company. It is difficult to produce an unhealthy catnip plant, they are usually fairly hardy with enough water and sunlight. This is not a good company to buy live plants from.

Reply by Colonial Creek Farm:

Customer ordered 2 live catnip plants during very cold weather (December 28) to be shipped to New York state. Customer stated that the plants arrived wilted and dying.

According to the photo provided by the customer, it was determined that the plants were most likely damaged from the cold weather. Never did the customer mention a problem with fungus or other disease issues with the plants in any of her correspondence to us nor did the photo show any such problems.

A refund was promptly issued as the customer requested. (the original shipping cost was also refunded along with the purchase price) We did not ask her to return the dead plants or require her to incur any additional cost whatsoever.

(It is Ebay's standard policy to ask for returns, not ours. As of this date, we have never received a return package from her.)

Despite our efforts to do everything in our power to remedy the situation, the customer still left negative feedback. Strangely, her emails spoke repeatedly and very highly of another plant seller on Ebay. This leads us to sadly wonder if the motivation behind her complaints and false accusations is purely competetive in nature.

If so, we wish her the best of luck in her endeavors.

As for Colonial Creek Farm, we will continue to concentrate our efforts on providing customers with the good quality plants and customer service they have become accustomed to.
